ANNALS OF DECISION ANALYTICS (ADA)
OFFICIAL AUTHOR TEMPLATE PACKAGE
========================================

This package provides two authoring routes for manuscripts submitted to
Annals of Decision Analytics (ADA): LaTeX and Microsoft Word. The two
formats are designed to preserve a consistent ADA journal identity and
article structure.

PACKAGE CONTENTS
----------------

  ada.sty ADA journal style package
  EMPTY_LATEX_TEMPLATE.tex Blank LaTeX manuscript template
  macros.tex Optional manuscript-specific macros
  references.tex Example/manual reference framework
  ADA-logo.png ADA journal logo

Microsoft_Word/
ADA_WORD_TEMPLATE.docx Blank editable Word author template
ADA_WORD_EXAMPLE.docx Populated example showing ADA Word styles

MICROSOFT WORD AUTHORS
----------------------

1. Start with ADA_WORD_TEMPLATE.docx and save a working copy under a new
   manuscript filename before editing.

2. The Word template is fully editable and uses native Word styles for the
principal manuscript elements, including title, authors, affiliations,
abstract, keywords, headings, body text, theorem-type material,
algorithms, captions, references, appendices, and back matter.

3. The ADA journal logo and the Cognivum Academic Press logo are embedded
directly in the Word document. Separate image files are not required to
display the logos in the Word template.

LOGO DISPLAY IN MICROSOFT WORD

The ADA logo is located in the first-page header at the upper-right corner.
The Cognivum Academic Press logo is located in the first-page footer at the
lower-left corner.

If the logos are not visible while editing:

  a. Select Print Layout from the View menu in Microsoft Word.

  b. Make sure Word is configured to display drawings and images. Depending
on the version of Microsoft Word, this option may be found under Word
Preferences or Word Options under View, Display, or Advanced settings.

  c. The logos should also be visible in Print Preview and in the resulting
     printed or PDF document.

The logos are intentionally placed in the header and footer so authors can
edit the manuscript without accidentally moving or deleting the journal and
publisher identification.

IMPORTANT: Authors should not resize, reposition, replace, or delete the ADA
or Cognivum Academic Press logos. Authors should edit only the designated
article information and manuscript content and use the styles supplied with
the ADA Word template.

LATEX AUTHORS
-------------

1. Keep the following files together in the manuscript working directory:

     ada.sty
EMPTY_LATEX_TEMPLATE.tex (or the author's renamed manuscript .tex file)
     macros.tex
     references.tex
     ADA-logo.png
     cognivum-logo.png

2. The manuscript loads the journal package with:

     \usepackage{ada}

and may load manuscript-specific definitions with:

     \input{macros}

3. macros.tex is intentionally minimal. Authors may place their own
manuscript-specific mathematical notation and commands there. Research-
specific notation should not be added to ada.sty.

4. references.tex provides a simple manual bibliography framework. Authors
may adapt the reference workflow required by ADA editorial instructions,
while preserving the journal citation style and all required bibliographic
   information.

5. Do not modify ada.sty, the journal logo, the publisher logo, page geometry,
or journal-design elements unless instructed by the ADA editorial office.

6. EMPTY_LATEX_TEMPLATE.tex is the recommended starting point for a new ADA
manuscript. Rename a copy for the manuscript and retain the original blank
   template for reference.

GENERAL MANUSCRIPT GUIDANCE
---------------------------

- Replace all placeholder article metadata, title, author, affiliation,
abstract, keyword, and manuscript text with the author's own information.

- Use the supplied structural styles/commands for sections, subsections,
theorem-type environments, algorithms, tables, figures, appendices,
  acknowledgments, funding statements, conflict-of-interest statements,
data-availability statements, and references as appropriate.

- Figures should be supplied at publication-quality resolution. Tables and
equations should remain editable whenever practical.

- Do not use the journal or publisher logos as part of figures or manuscript
  content.

- Before submission, review the complete manuscript in Print Layout or as a
compiled PDF to check page breaks, figures, tables, equations, references,
  headers, footers, and logo placement.

FOR EDITORIAL USE
-----------------

The Word and LaTeX templates are parallel authoring systems for the same ADA
article format. The journal-design elements are intentionally separated from
manuscript-specific content so that future ADA style updates can be made
without requiring authors to redesign their manuscripts.
